It’s always been complex to cultivate meaningful connections as an adult, unsupported by the sort of social infrastructure that we tend to take foregranted when we’re younger. 

But debatably, it’s never felt tougher than at a time in which the world seems so sweepingly hostile. Full of danger, division and difficulty… Not the optimal climate for much, but definitely not for making friends.

Luckily, there are plenty of people, places and platforms throughout Greater Manchester who make community feel that bit closer. More accessible, more straightforward—like it’s never out of reach when you need it. 

That’s what Making Space is all about. 

Speaking to these founders and facilitators about what it really takes to build a community. Where you begin and, once you’ve started, how you scale. The different ways they encourage connection and most importantly, how you can be a part of it.

Because those opportunities to get involved are everywhere. It’s just about knowing where to look.
