Episode 1: Altogether Otherwise

Since opening just over two years ago, Altogether Otherwise has existed as the antithesis of modern culture’s creeping preoccupation with productivity, instead promoting DIY, shared endeavour and good old-fashioned fun from its NOMA-based creative clubhouse, an amorphous community hub where the whole point of attending any one of their clubs isn’t to impress but to take part. 

The result is a relaxed environment in which attendees feel safe to look silly, to try something entirely new and fail freely alongside strangers—a space of experimentation untainted by the weight of expectation.

For this episode, I’m joined by Ben—co-founder of Altogether Otherwise—to talk more about the space’s founding principles, the current appetite for offline activities and the simple joys of joining in when you’ve grown accustomed to striving to stand out.
